macGuys once again we are faced with this never ending debate that what is better a PC or a MAC. Although, you may already know that PC stands for personal computer and both the MAC and Windows operated computer systems fall in this category. Yet the tech savvy people like us have named the Apple’s personal computer system MAC, and the Windows operated system has been nicknamed the PC.

As soon as you start thinking of buying a computer for yourself, you are struck with the question that should you buy a PC or the MAC. Computer enthusiasts are split in two over this matter. MAC fans would make you buy the MAC, boasting about its greatness. At the same time, the PC lovers would tell you all the advantages of the PC and why it’s best for you.

It is only fair to say that both these systems have their own merits and demerits and your choice should be based upon your own needs. Here are a few pointers that may help you with the choice

Usage and Function
From a business and official use point of view, the PC is the ideal choice. They have been developed as hardcore work machines, capable of word processing, spreadsheet working, presentations, e-mails etc. These features are also available with the MAC but it’s not born to do this stuff. So, if you are looking to manage your work with ease and comfort, PC would definitely prove better.

MACs over the years have proved themselves to be great multimedia machines. The quality of graphics, images, videos and music provided by the MAC is unmatched. It gives a more trendy and hospitable look. If you are looking for a more enjoyable and simpler computing experience, MAC would prove worthwhile.

Design and Looks
The Apple MAC readily wins this argument. MAC has always been known for its sleek and ultra modern design. Buyers get a machine that doesn’t look like a machine but a showpiece. On the other hand, PCs have always been bulkier and ugly looking. Though, they have now come to their senses by improving the design, they still don’t come close to the MAC.

Cost
There is no doubt at all that Apple’s are heavily overpriced. You can get a better PC in half the price of the same quality MAC. So, if price is a concern that MAC will give you a sad face then you are better off with the PC. But, if you are willing to pay extra, Apple surely won’t disappoint you.
