Australian athletes are happy by the accommodation and security at the Delhi Commonwealth Games. They have used social networking site Twitter to give the thumbs up to their accommodation and security in the Indian capital. The build up to the Common wealth Games have been in controversy after the collapse of a footbridge, the shooting of two tourists and reports of filthy and unlivable conditions in the athletes’ village. Swimmer Ashley Delaney said that the condition of the village was improving. “Each day the village has gotten better and better! I haven’t seen a snake or a monkey yet…” Delaney tweeted. He also described the security on the way to the main competition pool as impressive. “We have a police escort take us there and back and we don’t stop at all. It’s actually pretty impressive!” World champion cyclist Anna Meares said that the conditions are not that bad as reported in the national and international media. “First day in Delhi over. While posing naked on Twitter he used the tome for covering his private parts. Brand, 35, tweeted a picture of himself naked with the copy of his second autobiographical instalment “My Booky Wook 2?, and the photo was tagged with the caption “Erotic literature? Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle again fell victim to computer hackers.Hoaxers have again targeted her Twitter page for the second time this year. The Irish singer’s blog on the social networking site was hacked in April and links were added redirecting fans to miracle diets which had allegedly helped her lose weight. And now Coyle’s page has been invaded again by a hoaxer promoting extreme dieting. Promoted Tweets Are Coming To Third Party Apps

Twitter is bringing promoted tweets  to third party apps next month. The in stream advertising unit was introduced by twitter earlier this year. Up until now, Twitter’s ads have only appeared on Twitter.com, users who access the service through apps like TweetDeck haven’t seen promoted tweets. Twitter charges for these tweets on a cost per engagement model i.e advertisers pay whenever someone clicks through to a link, retweets the ad, or follows the advertiser. The company says that promoted tweets have thus far seen an engagement rate of around 5%. So far, advertising appears to be the key to Twitter’s revenue plans, and a great deal of Twitter activity occurs via third-party apps.Twitter has not yet decided how and when it will implement this, but soon it will merge the promoted tweets with third party...
